My Favorite Place on Earth – Lake Powell

This Earth Day I want to remember my favorite place on this twirling orb we call home. My husband and I have taken several houseboat vacations to Lake Powell, Glen Canyon (Utah) to relax. And relax we did! There is nothing as calming as the gentle rock of a boat and nothing to see for miles and miles but water and canyon walls.

A miles-long side canyon we went down to find a place to dock for the night.

Rainbow Arch, a huge attraction. When we first visited it, water ran right under it. Now, because of the drought in the west, water level has fallen and you have to walk in (easy path) to see it. Well worth the trip to see this natural arch.
