Book review & giveaway: consider it done
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNER!
Using Random.org, I selected Laura Ambrose as the lucky winner of this book! Thanks to all who entered.
Have you ever wished you had a personal concierge?
I know I wish for one just about every day of the week!
How nice would it be to have someone pick up your dry cleaning when you’re pinched for time, actually secure a reservation for you at the hottest restaurant in town…at the last minute, or simply organize that photo album you’ve always had such good intentions of finishing?
Well, Julie Subotky, a personal concierge to the insanely busy New York crowd, does just that.
I’ve known Julie since the fall of 1999, when we met as participants in a boot camp program in Central Park run by an intense (if a little nutty) Austrian soldier and his partner, an Australian rowing champion. Gluttons for punishment, we also trained for the London Marathon together during a particularly bitter cold New York winter. In the intervening years, we’ve attended each other’s weddings, celebrated the arrival of our baby boys, and leaned on each other as fellow entrepreneurs.
Over the past decade I’ve watched in awe as Julie tackled just about every imaginable task for her clients, from pulling off the seeming impossible (last minute reservations for 8 at Per Se? Consider it done!) to the truly mind-boggling (sneaking an elephant into Central Park). The woman is a force of nature!
Happily for those of us who either (a) don’t live in NYC or (b) can’t really afford a personal concierge, Julie shares her secrets for getting some of life’s trickiest tasks done in a new book titled: consider it done. It’s packed with literally hundreds of tips for getting things done you may have otherwise thought were impossible. It’s a great read…a must-have book for your reference library.
