October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – Get Organized for Your Appointment

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – Have You Made Your Appointment Yet?

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. That means it’s time to stop, take a breath, and make an appointment with your doctor for your annual check-up.

Buttoned Up is committed to getting the word out about Breast Cancer – the good, the bad, the preventable. It is our sincere hope that if just one woman is saved by early detection, then our efforts are rewarded. This month we are highlighting all things Breast Cancer along with our usual fare of helpful and informative articles. Articles will include Sue Glader’s post on how to explain a loved one’s cancer to little kids, and we will highlight some of her journey as a survivor and how she wrote and published her children’s (as well as adults) book, Nowhere Hair.

Also included this month are Risk Factors, Symptoms, Self Examination, new developments/treatments, medical study results, and the role genetics & hormones play. Basically, anything we can get our hands on to help you, our readers and followers to become more educated and aware of this deadly disease.

Since many forms of Breast Cancer are stopped with early detection, please make an appointment today with your doctor for your test. It could save your life. – The Buttoned Up Team
